Suranya launches maiden multistrategy fund

Suranya Capital Partners, co-founded by veterans of Tiger Management, Shumway Capital Partners and Corbin Capital Partners, has launched its maiden offering, a global multistrategy fund.

Suranya’s co-founder Anu Murgai, who was a trader and analyst at Tiger Management from 1998 to 1999, manages the fund.

Murgai launched the Stamford, Conn.-based firm on May 1 with Mark Kessler, the firm’s chief operating officer, who is a former partner and portfolio manager at Corbin Capital Partners, and Ian Amstad, the firm’s main analyst, who was a global macro analyst at Shumway Capital Partners between 2005 and 2007.
