SAC Capital hires Exton and Rhombus teams


Members of the investment team at Exton Capital Management, the event-driven hedge fund firm, are set to join Sigma Capital, a unit of Steve Cohen's $15 billion SAC Capital Advisors. SAC is also re-hiring Rhombus Capital Management’s founder, David Fiszel, and several Rhombus employees.

New York-based Exton, which was founded at the end of 2004 by Charles Simonian, liquidated its $100 million portfolio in November in preparation for its team to join Sigma, which focuses on U.S. equity and debt.
