Marathon Asset Management has hired two senior portfolio managers to shore up its equity team. At the same time, the firm has recast its global convertible strategy as a global equity strategy.
Joining Marathon as senior portfolio managers are John Horng, formerly of Thales Fund Management, and John Cregan, who was most recently at Man Investments, according to Marathon.
Horng serves as senior portfolio manager responsible for risk arbitrage. Cregan takes on the role of Marathons senior portfolio manager investing in technology, media and telecom. Both hires report to Jamie Raboy, managing director for equities.
