Ex-UBS man lines up big pan-African launch at Nubuke


Tutu Agyare, the former head of European emerging markets at UBS and a 20-year veteran of UBS and O'Connor, is at the helm of a major new pan-African investment firm that will launch its first two funds in the next few weeks.

Nubuke Investments is lining up a multi-strategy pan-African hedge fund - which will target asset classes like currency and government bonds as well as equities - and a 'best ideas' long-only equity-only vehicle. The firm aims to soft-close the funds at $500 million each.

Initially Nubuke will be based in London, with an experienced 15-strong investment team at
