Sorin takes on partner for commercial property fund


In a move to expand its commercial real estate strategies, Sorin Capital Management, a $1.5 billion fixed-income shop based in Stamford, Conn., announced that Brian DiDonato, formerly of Capmark Investments, has joined the firm as a senior partner.

DiDonato will be a portfolio manager within Sorin’s flagship fixed-income strategy, which targets structured products, and has the mandate to develop additional commercial real estate debt and equity strategies. Sorin expects that the first product launched under DiDonato will be a commercial real estate debt opportunity strategy, which will be co-managed by Sorin founder Jim Higgins.
