Macro seen as best performing strategy in 2008


Macro is expected to be the top performing hedge fund strategy this year, according to Deutsche Bank’s sixth annual alternative investment survey. Meanwhile, the United States and Western Europe are predicted to be this year’s worst performing regions in terms of hedge fund investing, the research shows.

The survey, conducted in March and incorporating responses from more than 1,000 investors, found that hedge fund allocators expect strategies that are less sensitive to the equity markets to fare best in 2008.
