Bloomberg bid costs Druckenmiller $250K

Mystery solved: Duquesne Capital chief Stanley Druckenmiller was the money man behind NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg's near presidential bid. It was only a "near bid" because Bloomberg had never actually declared his third-party candidacy by the time he managed to officially withdraw from the race. But as it turns out, Druckenmiller reportedly penned a check for $250,000 to fund an exploratory committee intended to see if "Bloomberg for President" was an idea with wings.
