While Wall Street is weak, Citadel Investment Group has continued exploiting the situation by nabbing talent, most recently hiring the co-heads of Merrill Lynch’s government institutional sales group.
After Citadel hired several capital markets bankers away from JPMorgan, the bank cut off trading with Citadel for one day this week, alleging that the hirings violated contractual agreements those individuals had with the bank. Citadel did not return a call seeking comment.
