Biglari-Friendly: a Harvard case history


One might imagine that every hedge fund manager would like to be the subject of class discussions at Harvard Business School. But chances are you wouldn't want it to be because of an epic multiyear proxy fight with an ice cream parlor chain. The battle between hedge fund manager Sardar Biglari and Friendly Ice Cream was recently made into a corporate governance case history study at the famed Cambridge, Mass., school, with copies bound in a 30-page book and sold at the college bookstore for $7 a pop.
