Senate reintroduces hedge fund registration bill


Two U.S. senators have introduced a bill that would force hedge funds to register with the Securities and Exchange Commission as investment advisors. Recent attempts to force hedge fund registration have gone nowhere in the past but may gain a foothold as the new administration moves to increase regulation of the financial services industry.
