Emerging manager platforms see a revival as investors demand institutional frameworks


Emerging manager platforms are experiencing a revival as many great traders are finding themselves "homeless" as businesses shut down, or they may soon find that their operational infrastructure is too flimsy for what is likely to be an increasing move towards investing within institutional frameworks.

VCM Fund Management, which spun out from Vantage Capital Markets and was founded by Simon Clowes and Roderick Wurfbain, plans to launch the VCM Optimised Seeding Fund, Clayton Heijman, formerly of Fortis, has set up the Darwin Financial Platform primarily to take advantage of an expected explosion in Dutch onshore funds.
