GM reorganises management


Tony Kao, a 26-year GM Asset Management veteran, has been named chief investment officer at GMAM replacing Nancy Everett, who will remain chief executive officer and will be responsible for growing the firm's business outside the General Motors corporate portfolio.

Everett joined GM Asset Management in New York in 2005 and held both CIO and CEO titles. The $145 billion asset management business at General Motors is roughly 80% GM assets with the remainder of assets belonging to other institutional clients.
