Amlicke leaves Blackstone

Bruce Amlicke will not be replaced at Blackstone Alternative Asset Management where he was chief investment officer for more than four years.

At Blackstone, Amlicke oversaw all aspects of asset allocation, hedge fund manager evaluation, selection and monitoring, portfolio construction, portfolio management and risk management. As a senior managing director of the Blackstone Group, Amlicke was involved in strategic planning and led new product innovation in addition to serving on the firm's investment committee and advisory board.

Amlicke is said to be leaving for personal reasons, but a spokesman at the firm declined to comment on Amlicke's departure.
