London-based Capula Investment Management, headed by Yan Huo and Masao Asai, is beefing up its presence in Japan, having relocated Jean-Marc Botazzi back to Tokyo from London in late February. With this, Japanese fixed income is now being advised out of Japan. The Tokyo office now houses seven staffers, including two on the JPY trading team. Meanwhile, the fund is continuing its positive streak after generating 9.5% net in 2008, returning 2.41% in February and 3.57% year to date in US dollar terms.
The firm believes there are excellent continued investment opportunities within the fixed income market.
