EU proposals stir fears of hedge fund exodus


A new alternative investment fund directive proposal established by the European Commission could see an exodus of European hedge funds from Europe if approved. At the same time legislation in the US could give the Securities and Exchange Commission authorisation to require hedge funds to register.
