Turner turns from long-only to hedge fund strategies


Turner Investment Partners, an independent investment house based in Berwyn, Penn., that runs some $16 billion in long-only money, is joining the ranks of traditional asset management firms stepping up their efforts in long/short investing.

Turner began running a series of small long/short limited partnerships back in 2005 for the firm and its staff in its core areas of expertise and is now making them available to outside investors through a multistrategy vehicle.
