Indices up well in H1 2009 after flatter month in June


European hedge funds had a flat month across the board in June, down around 0.3% at the end of a generally very good first half of the year.

On a median basis, the EuroHedge Composite Index is up 3.74% for the year - its strongest six-month performance for some time. On a mean average basis, the return is considerably higher - at over 6% YTD.

The returns in convertible arbitrage and EM debt and equity are all in double figures for the year, with only managed futures in negative territory for the year after another down month.
