Mauritius-based Kura Capital now has a three-month track record with its Kura Africa fund, investing across Africa.
The fund, denominated in US dollars, has $17 million under management, having secured $10 million in seeding. It has gained 8% since inception, climbing 7.5% in May and coming in flat for April and June. Kura targets a 20% net return per annum.
The fund is managed by an experienced Africa team, comprising Anthony Schroenn, Craig Bandason and Rainer Orth. They have recently relocated to Mauritius from Johannesburg, where they worked at leading South African hedge fund
