Bristol and others mull outlays in UK

It is thought that the University of Bristol Pension & Assurance Scheme in the UK may consider a multi-asset or fund of hedge funds manager to run a mandate of diversified growth, which will be for around $28 million or around 15% of the scheme's assets.

The target return has not been formally agreed but is expected to be based on a cash or inflation measure plus 3% to 5% over the long term.

Also in the UK, Buckinghamshire County Council Pension Fund, based in Aylesbury, has awarded a mandate thought to be worth around $65 million to Partners Group.
