Joel Wittenberg, corporate vice-president for treasury and investor relations at the Kellogg Company, will join the W.K. Kellogg Foundation in Michigan as chief investment officer as of 14 September.
Current vice-president and CIO Paul Lawler retired in August after 12 years of service to the $7 billion foundation, which has allocated extensively to alternative investments including hedge funds.
Wittenberg has served as corporate treasurer and assistant treasurer for the Kellogg Company. Prior to joining the firm, he was vice-president and treasurer with Armstrong World Industries in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
