New Hampshire charts absolute return course

The New Hampshire Retirement System is moving forward once again with its absolute return strategy work plan, which proposes 12 direct absolute return fund investments totalling $125 million.

Early in 2009, trustees of the $4 billion pension fund approved a plan to implement absolute return strategies, but implementation seemed to be on hold as officials search for a director of investments following the departure of Rich Shafer, who just joined the Ohio Public Employees' Retirement System as deputy director of investments.
