Omega Asset Management has launched the Turaco Purest Alpha Fund with more than $32 million. Omega is the London-based arm of Omega Capital, the family office of Alicia Koplovitz in Madrid.
The new fund, which will invest in 25 underlying managers, has been funded largely from the Omega flagship Laredo Umbrella Fund, although external investors are expected. Pierre-Olivier Masmejean, formerly of Guggenheim Partners and chief investment officer of Omega Asset Management, runs the new portfolio that has been run internally since 2007.
