Long/short funds defy weak Japanese market


While the Japanese market fell off sharply during September – in contrast to the gains elsewhere in the region – the end of the third quarter saw many long/short funds strongly up over the year.

Sector Zen was down 1.6% on the month leaving year-to-date numbers at 44.15% while Optima Platinum Japan was up 1.2% for September taking 2009 figures to 37.67%.
