Long view helps K2 Asian Absolute Fund


Very long exposure, reflecting a positive view of the region, helped the K2 Asian Absolute Fund gain 4.7% in September, and 35.2% year-to-date. The Asia ex-Japan long/short equity fund was 94% net long for the month, (95% long and 1% short). K2's view was more optimistic than the consensus, based on the effect of fiscal stimulus and monetary policy measures filtering into the real economy, explains K2's Mark Newman.
