The $29 billion Teachers' Retirement System of the State of Illinois will interview finalists at its 10 December meeting for its search for an additional global macro/GTAA manager.
The RFP closed in September, according to spokeswoman Eva Goltermann. The mandate is part of the real-return asset class. The mandate size will be recommended at the end of the search. The three global-macro managers in the current portfolio are Bridgewater, AQR and Wellington. Last February, trustees approved long-term targets of 25% to the AQR Global Risk Premium fund, 40% to Bridgewater All Weather and another 35% to Wellington Diversified Hedges.
