Whitefield portfolio regains its balance


The Whitefield Asian Opportunities Fund profited from a careful portfolio rebalancing in October, gaining 3.53% and tipping year-to-date performance just over the 60% mark.

Replacing stocks that had done well and were no longer cheap with overlooked but good value stocks meant the Asia ex-Japan fund was less exposed to the late October correction, which hit high-flying larger-cap stocks hardest, said Whitefield's Benjamin Ng.
