Tyne & Wear halts hedge fund moves


The $5.11 billion Tyne and Wear Pension Fund in the UK has decided to hold off on hedge fund investments.

The Hebburn, Tyne and Wear-based fund, which runs the pension assets of South Tyneside Council, has decided that a number of factors, including lack of fee transparency and volatile market conditions, will prevent it from making an investment for now.
