It is now just a few weeks until the 2008 AsiaHedge Forum, to be held in Hong Kong at the JW Marriott Hotel on 15-16 October. This year, the event is set against the backdrop of one of the most challenging environments that the global financial system has seen since the 1930s.

With only one more month of performance to be counted, the competition is heating up for the fourth annual Absolute Return Awards, to be presented at a black tie dinner on November 18 at 583 Park Avenue in New York. Following the huge success of the 2007 conference, the Absolute Return Symposium 2008 promises to be more impressive than ever, with high-profile speakers, high-quality sessions and high-level delegates that has enabled this to be the industry's leading event for four years.
The EuroHedge Awards will celebrate the best performing risk-adjusted hedge funds in Europe in 2008. The 8th annual EuroHedge Awards ceremony took place at a gala dinner on Thursday 29 January, in The Great Room at The Grosvenor House Hotel on London's Park Lane.
Set against the dramatic backdrop of Table Mountain, the AfricaHedge Symposium 2009 will have broader focus - aiming to bring together some of the most talented and informed managers and investors looking at fast-growing frontier markets across the African continent and into the Middle East, while also representing the more mature South African industry.
The evening will begin with a canape reception, followed by dinner. There are a limited number of tables for the evening, so please book early.
