Paulsson, Spångberg take on key Brummer roles as Jäntti steps down

Brummer & Partners, the $14.5 billion Stockholm-based multi-strategy hedge fund group, has announced changes to its senior leadership line-up following the decision by Klaus Jäntti, the firm’s long-serving chief executive and portfolio manager of its flagship Brummer Multi-Strategy Fund (BMS), to leave the group after 18 years.

As a result of Jäntti stepping down from his positions – which Brummer says is “at his own request” – Ola Paulsson has been named as the new CEO of Brummer & Partners, while Mikael Spångberg has been appointed to take over as managing director of BMS – where he will act as portfolio manager for the fund jointly with Patrik Brummer, the group’s founder and chairman.
